1. Family - Knowing I am able to go home to the most loving family is a great feeling. They always keep me laughing and they're they craziest people I know. I'm thankful for my parents, without them I would be nothing. I'm thankful for my little sister because she is my best friend.
2. Flowers- Receiving flowers this week randomly from two of the sweetest people (shout out to Katherine and Charlotte) That truly brightened my day & I'm so thankful for both of you.
3. Teachers that care - All throughout my life I have been blessed with incredible teachers. Sure, there were some ones along the way that I wasn't too fond of, but overall they were great. In elementary school I had an incredible 3rd grade teacher who was one of the one's to inspire me to become a teacher. In middle school I had favorites that I still see to this day. Even though I pushed one into a pool or had to clean the bathroom on our 6th grade field trip. High school was full of incredible teachers. Ones that influenced my life daily, ones that made me laugh every day. I babysit some of their kids, I've been so some of their weddings and I go out to eat with them over breaks.
4. My bed at home - There's nothing like coming home after driving four hours and being able to jump into your bed (that is not a twin sized bunk)
5. Discipleship - Friendship with a purpose and a common love for the Lord. Being discipled by older Tri Delts and friends has been such a surprised blessing. I would've never of guessed that this is what my college experience would be like. Now, I'm so lucky to be able to disciple someone also. You can check out her new blog here -- From the Heart of Heather
6. Candles - Our new candle in our room smells like a Christmas tree. Being snuggled in bed with the Christmas lights on & the candle burning is a little piece of heaven placed in my room.
7. Midnight movie premieres - Harry Potter series, Twilight series, + more. Even though I did not go to the Catching Fire midnight premiere, I am beyond excited to see it tonight!

Dia de los Muertos
When we were given the theme, "Pick a date," I obviously chose the Day of the Dead.
I got a little inspiration from Blake Lively + The Savages
I've now been able to check 2 of the 4 costumes on my Halloween Bucket List off.
A member of KISS - Yes
Day of the Dead - Yes

The third thankful Thursday
1. The leaves changing - The leaves changing in Franklin is one of my favorite things to see, when I was in New York the leaves in Central Park were changing, and here in Oxford the trees are changing in the Grove. There's something about the leaves leaving and winter coming that makes me so happy. It makes me know that I will be with my family soon on Thanksgiving and Christmas break.
2. Grandfathers - Over a one year period I lost both of my grandfathers. Both were sudden and both were absolutely heartbreaking. I am thankful for the 18-19 years I had with them and the impact they had on my life is unforgettable. From taking me to plays to helping me shoot a bow, there is never a day I don't think about them.
3. Walking to class - When you're a freshman it can be awkward walking to class alone. What I love about living in Tri Delt is walking to my 8 am classes with my best friends. There's never a moment alone, which sometimes can be strange, but now we are so used to be surrounded by each other 24/7 it is weird when we aren't. I am thankful for every moment with these friends.
4. Music festivals - In high school if you would have told me that I would go to Lollapalooza I would have told you that you were crazy. What I loved about Lolla was the city, the people, the atmosphere and last but not least, the music. It was such a great experience and I'm thankful to have gone to the Windy City with some great people.
5. Dates - Couldn't tell ya what a date with a male is like, but roomie dates, lunch dates, dinner dates, coffee dates, etc. I love them all. Whether it's a nail salon date with Ali, a High Pointe date with Ann Marie, a South Depot date with Betsy Kate or a sister date to the Ellie Goulding concert, I love one on one time with my friends.
6. Christmas - What's better than Celine Dion's Christmas CD + Starbucks red cups + Christmas lights? Let me tell you, nothing. The Polar Express, Elf, Christmas Vacation. Hot cocoa, peppermint hot chocolate, milk and cookies.
7. Silences that aren't awkward - Comfortable silence is a great gift. With the roomies, comfortable silence is a must. We can be bonding the most when we all have our headphones in watching our shows on Netflix.
8. Cozy clothes - Snuggles on snuggles in fleece pajama sets, Free People loose tops, Tri Delt hoodies

On the 7th day of November I am thankful for..
1. Birthdays - Mine or my friends, everyone is happy on their birthday. It is filled with celebrating the life of the people you love. What could be better than that?
2. Lunch with friends after church on Sunday - Sunday is my favorite day. It's full of relaxing, snuggling in bed, friendship and community.
3. Franklin, TN - I'm thankful for where I'm from. I've lived in the same house since I was 2 years old. I used to think I wanted to move and live in a new house, but why would I ever want to do that? Downtown Franklin is beautiful and my favorite place to be.
4. Roommates - Ann Marie and I have been roommates for three years now. I could have never guessed that my random roommate freshman year would become my best friend & that we would be able to live together all four years of college. Ali joined the roomie life with us this year in the Tri Delt house and fits right in perfectly. I'm so thankful for the two of them every day.
5. Pledge Trainers - For being influenced daily, even three years later, by my pledge trainer and for getting the opportunity to be a pledge trainer myself. I could not have dreamed of anything better. I do this job with the two greatest people and our dynamic together is just so good. Also, I have to add that the pledge class of '13 is by far the coolest.
6. Instagram - Now now, don't laugh. It is how I am inspired daily. I love social media and have my phone on me at all times. I am influenced my social media, Instagram specifically, and hope to one day use my love for spreading information and inspiration through social media as a career.

Thankfulness
Every Thursday in November I thought it would be nice to sit down, collect my thoughts, and write down 10 things I am thankful for. I always joke about being #blessed (said out loud like "hashtag blessed") but when I look at my life, I realize how truly blessed I am.
I have the most incredible family and friends, I attend Ole Miss, am in Tri Delt, have so many things that make me happy during the day, get to travel multiple times a year, and I have Jesus by my side at all times.
Sometimes it helps to write down things, people, places, etc. that you are thankful for. It helps you remember them and you're thinking harder.
I challenge you to do this too.
1. Breakfast at Tri Delt - Coffee in the mornings with your best friends every day, you can't beat that.
2. Gilmore Girls - While this may seem silly, I am thankful for the comfort that Gilmore Girls brings me. Whether I am sad, happy, sleepy or mad, there's something about hearing the words, "Where you lead, I will follow.." that can turn any mood around.
3. Journals - I am thankful for the hands to write in my journals with. Whether it is my bible study journal, my bucket list journal, my notes or my prayers journal, I am thankful for them because they let me look back on past thoughts and dream about the future. I'm thankful for Pop's journal he kept for a year.
4. High school friendships - No matter the amount of time that has passed or the days we go without talking, once we are reunited it is like nothing has changed. I can't wait to see where life takes us all, because it has already taken us to different states.
5. Laughter - Living in the DDD house, the walls are paper thin. My favorite part about the walls being so thin is hearing my friend's laughs. They are all so unique and you can tell when someone really think something is funny, instead of a fake laugh. Many people's laughs make me laugh, and that makes my heart happy.
6. Handwritten notes - I keep handwritten notes and cards from everything. I have cards Jennifer and Marissa made me for my 8th birthday, cards from when I got my appendix out my freshman year of high school, and sweet notes from friends in college. Sometimes, maybe always, a handwritten note is the best gift you can receive.
7. Dance parties - Dance parties in the foyer after skit, dance parties in the kitchen after the Great Gatsby swap, dance parties in room 9, or dance parties on the square.
8. Snuggles - Thankfully all my friends are snuggle bunnies. After a long day, on a rainy day, or on the happiest day while watching a movie, snuggles are everywhere.
9. Airplanes - To take me to new places and to take me back home
10. All of you who read this - I'm thankful you all read this and I'm thankful for the feedback. I never have any idea where this blog will take me but all of my friends have been so supportive and kind.
